Glossary of Faux Cardioids is collection of invented anexact forms with invented etymologies, annotations, and applications.

Architecture has historically given discursive priority to exact geometries. While exact geometries are mathematically defined, anexact geometries are essentially, rather than accidentally inexact. These forms can be precisely documented and constructed while being mathematically impure.

The goal of the Glossary is neither to oppose the exact nor the anexact. Glossary of Faux Cardioids is meant to transcend the dichotomy of the two in order to articulate what has previously been ineffable. It seeks to bring rigor to the “bulbous” in order to confront the canon of rectilinear, Euclidean architecture.
